Brand new replacement LCDs for the Nintendo DS Lite Consoles
Things to note while installing:
The upper and lower LCD screens of the DS Lite must be fully inserted. The console will only power on when it detects the LCD screen backlight connection. The cable connector is relatively tight, so please make sure that the cables are fully inserted on both ends.
Both LCDs must be installed, the console will not power on otherwise.
If you see the backlight on the upper display flashing, it indicates that the cable for the lower LCD is not properly connected. Likewise, if the backlight of the lower LCD flashes, it indicates that the upper LCD cable is not fully inserted correctly.
The install method is almost the same as the OEM dispalys. The top LCD is slightly different while the bottom LCD is the same. Installing the new LCDs can be quite challenging if you've never done this before. We only recommend replacing the LCDs if the originals are damaged in some way.
The cables can be easily damaged if you're not careful, please handle with care and take your time! Replacements will not be sent if you've damage the cables!
About the LCD:
The resolution of the IPS LCD is 16 times higher than that of the OEM display.
If both the OEM LCDs are replaced with the new IPS LCD displays, power consumption increases dramatically so please keep this in mind before replacing both!
You must short between the two points as shown in the product photos to increase the power for the new LCDs
To reduce power consumption, two backlight lamps have been removed. Thus the backlight distribution is uneven, there is a slight blackening phenomenon at the edges of the LCD screen. It's very minor and does not affect the usability of the display.
The internal space of the lower LCD is small, which can compress the bottom LCD. So please keep this in mind.
